Brush With Bamboo has created one of the few toothbrushes in the world that has 100% plant based bristles, and that’s just the start. The handle is made from sustainable bamboo that is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and the box encasing the toothbrush, free of any tapes or glues, is made entirely from plant-based materials too. See end of life disposal for important information. This Value Pack includes 4 adult tooth brushes.

The handle is made from sustainable bamboo and the bristles are made from all-natural castor bean oil. Metal staples are used to clamp the bristles to the handle (common in all toothbrush manufacturing).
Before first use, thoroughly rinse the toothbrush handle and bristles with water. There may be some bamboo dust that remains on the toothbrush head and handle after manufacturing. Apply the desired amount of toothpaste and brush. Rinse well after each use and keep in a dry ventilated area when not in use.
The box encasing the toothbrush is made from paper – no tape or glue is used.
Keep dry in a ventilated area when not being used.

This toothbrush is composed of three parts: a handle, bristles, and metal staples that are used to clamp the bristles to the handle (metal staples are used in most toothbrush manufacturing).
Bamboo – similar to what happens in a natural environment, bamboo will completely decompose but the amount of time this takes is dependent on things like soil composition, temperature, and the size and density of the object, amongst others. Time frames can range from a few months to a few years. Breaking it down into smaller pieces can accelerate the process of decomposition and this is recommended before introducing it into an environment that’s suitable for composting.
Staples – the metal (aluminum) in this toothbrush will break down through chemical reactions in the environment.
Bristles – the USDA Certified 100% Biobased bristles are biobased but not compostable. Although these bristles will eventually return to the soil (manufacturer claim), if desired, you may remove them with plyers. Terracycle has a program in place for these hard to recycle materials.
